Romance readers, this one is for you. For the Heart is a bundle of six romance novels as well as my hockey romance short story, “Shooting for the Moon.” Even though subscribers to my mailing list–you are one, aren’t you?–already have this story, you can’t go wrong with those six novels for just $3.99.
Pentucket Publishing has slashed print prices for all my novels. My romance novels, Body Check and No Defense, which are coincidentally my longest works, now list for $13.99. Offside, Cracking the Ice, and Bubba Goes for Broke come in at $12.99.
These price reductions were made possible by distribution changes, so the books may not be available at all brick-and-mortar stores, but they remain available from your favorite online distributor or directly from me.
I can provide personalized copies at the following reduced prices. For any combination of books, the cost is $13 for the first, $25 for any two, $36 for three, $46 for four, and $56 for five. That includes standard shipping within the continental United States, autographed and personalized per your request.
Pay by Paypal or check. Send Paypal payment to my email@example.com account; mail checks to PO Box 482, Andover, MA 01810-0009.
My new hockey romance novel, No Defense, is now out in both ebook and print formats.
After giving up the worst goal of his NHL career and at the worst possible time – overtime of the Stanley Cup Championship Game 7 — Tyler McKenzie flees to Africa. But even a safari into the famed Serengeti can’t wipe away the sting of his failure. He sees it everywhere he looks.
Except when he looks into the eyes of Angie Smolinski, an outspoken, bull-in-the-china-shop firecracker he finds far more interesting than any of the beauties back home.
They fall head over heels for each other until the firecracker explodes like a bomb.
Available on Kindle, NOOK, Kobo, Smashwords, and Amazon (print).
I’ll be happy to provide autographed and personalized copies of the trade paperback, but my hot-off-the-presses shipment won’t arrive until after the holidays. If you can wait until then, please send $15 to cover the book and standard shipping ($2 extra for Priority Mail).
Even better, select additional titles or copies (whatever combination you’d like) and save even more: $27 for any two, $38 for three, $48 for four, and $58 for five. That includes standard shipping within the continental United States. Pay by Paypal or check. Send Paypal payment to my firstname.lastname@example.org account; mail checks to PO Box 482, Andover, MA 01810-0009.
Here’s an update of what’s on the way the next few months.
My next Young Adult Historical/Sports novel is scheduled for an October 15 release date. If you likedCracking the Ice, you’ll love this new title. It’s set in 1967, the year before Cracking the Ice, and includes a minor role for that novel’s hero, Jessie Stackhouse. This time, the sport is football with some baseball sprinkled in. But whether you’re a sports fan or not, I think you’ll find this book a compelling read.
For romance fans who liked Body Check, your next title is slated for a Christmas release. I’m hard at work on it now and although there’s still a long way to go, I’m really excited about this one.
I still don’t have a publication date for my story “Huram’s Temple” in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, but I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I know.
The Georgetown Record‘s Jessica Sacco interviewed me about Body Check in its May 2 issue. I’m very happy with the result. Read it here.
If you follow Boston-area sports, you’ve no doubt heard that Jenny Dell has been taken off Red Sox broadcasts due to her relationship with the team’s third baseman, Will Middlebrooks. If you’ve haven’t, here’s the rundown.
Dell’s situation is exactly the quandary Olivia Turnbull finds herself in my novel Body Check, released by Pentucket Publishing in electronic formats a month and a half ago. A trade paperback is forthcoming.

Body Check, my new romance novel, is now available in most electronic formats.
Sportswriter Olivia Turnbull covers the Blades, Boston’s professional hockey team. She’d never break the taboo against dating one of the players. The temptation never even crosses her mind.
Until, that is, the Blades trade for Chad Finnegan. She and Chad enjoyed a torrid love affair during their college days and when he arrives, one look dooms them both.
Their love breaks all the rules, but the forbidden fruit tastes too sweet until they learn that it could cost them everything.
Body Check provides an insider’s view of newspapers, sports writing, and hockey, but most of all, it tells a captivating tale of star-crossed lovers.
Available on Kindle, NOOK, Kobo, Smashwords, and other formats. $5.99
