“One-Night Stands for Love and Glory” appears in Fiction River

A new story of mine appeared a few days ago when Fiction River: Universe Between released. Fiction River is a terrific multi-genre anthology series that has gained great renown in little over a year. The Universe Between issue includes a rarity for me, a science fiction story, “One-Night Stands for Love and Glory.” What isn’t rare, at least I hope not, is that it will make you laugh; it may also make you cry.

Fiction River is available in electronic and paper formats, and by subscription or individual issue. I’ve been a subscriber since the very first issue and highly recommend it. Click here for further details.

Price drop

Pentucket Publishing has dropped the price of the electronic editions of Cracking the Ice and my sex comedy Bubba Goes for Broke (written under the pen name David Bawdy). If you haven’t read them yet, now’s the time.

Upcoming publications

Here’s an update of what’s on the way the next few months.

My next Young Adult Historical/Sports novel is scheduled for an October 15 release date. If you likedCracking the Ice, you’ll love this new title. It’s set in 1967, the year before Cracking the Ice, and includes a minor role for that novel’s hero, Jessie Stackhouse. This time, the sport is football with some baseball sprinkled in. But whether you’re a sports fan or not, I think you’ll find this book a compelling read.

For romance fans who liked Body Check, your next title is slated for a Christmas release. I’m hard at work on it now and although there’s still a long way to go, I’m really excited about this one.

I still don’t have a publication date for my story “Huram’s Temple” in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, but I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I know.
